Instead of ringing a dispatch, or ringing around several taxis and potentially several companies, “Broadcast” lets a customer broadcast a job to The Taxis from our directory, all at the same time. They then respond back to you via text with a quote.

Booking a driver direct provides the best service.

As a customer:

• BROADCAST lets you receive fixed price bids for your ride so you know where you are at direct to your phone by the drivers themselves.
• The price and pick up timings are understood before you accept the drivers quote. And you know they will be on their way.
• You are not thrown in a system where you are forgotten.
• This service by default eliminates busy drivers for ASAP pick-ups, as drivers won't respond while driving, and won't respond if they can't do it.
• Our system returns the control over booking a taxi to you.

How it works

Define your job - Place the Broadcast – Get some quotes - Confirm the booking!

• Complete the booking form found here.
• Broadcast it to all the drivers on The Taxis directory.
• Wait for them to respond with a quote by SMS direct to you.
• Select one and reply back to the driver you are happy with, to confirm their offer.
• The driver does the job and you pay them for it at the end.

Responses to jobs from the drivers should be quick, and customers need to confirm back direct to the driver promptly by SMS, if they’re happy with their bid for the job. The longer both parties take to respond, the more unlikely it is that a successful pairing will happen. The customer must confirm the drivers bid by SMS reply, and the driver must confirm they are coming after that. You only need to respond to the driver that is successful in their bid for the job. Drivers will put in bids for multiple jobs potentially in close succession to each other. Please don’t reply to unsuccessful bids as drivers will be busy either driving or submitting quotes to find work.

You can use our system to ensure good results.

Every taxi on our directory is one driver linked to one cell phone. Use our system to your advantage and your phones built in services to control the relationships.

If you like a driver, save them to your phone so you recognise them next time

Each driver on the directory listing has an orange "add contact" button. This way you will recognise them when they respond to a future 'Broadcast', or in case you want to book them direct. For you as a customer, saving drivers to your phone is like building a “favourites list” with their actual contact information.

Use Broadcast First by Default!

We recommend you use Broadcast by default as your first option when looking for a taxi because you get better options in one simple action. The earlier you do it the better, so you will be able to sort prices if you get multiple offers. It lets you retain control and still recieve great service.
